The bayonet tip is mounted together with a cable end sleeve on the 0.9 mm shift cable. This effectively prevents damage to the shift cable when the grub screws are clamped. Use:Disconnection of the gear mech with internal gear mech is done by opening the bayonet connectors. For easy handling, a middle gear should be engaged for this purpose. This places the bayonet connectors in an easily accessible position. To open the bayonet connectors, turn the bayonet tip and bayonet connector 90° against each other and pull them apart.
