The aluminium crank has become slimmer compared to the predecessor model and is visually reminiscent of the SLX FC-M7000 introduced a year earlier. However, Deore FC-M6000-2 is still compatible with 10-speed derailleurs. The two chainrings sit on an asymmetric spider with 96\/64 mm bolt circle diameter, which in turn has been adopted from the cranks of more expensive groupsets. The all-round Deore crankset is as solid a choice as ever for all types of MTBs from cross country to all mountain.
